March 8th is a day we celebrate women’s day, globally.
Parkway joined in celebrating IWD 2022 campaign theme: Break the bias
“Imagine a gender equal world.
A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.
A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Together we can forge women’s equality.
Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.”
While internationalwomensday.com urged us to join in the fight to break the gender bias, the tech space is huge evidence that a lot of bias has and is still being broken.
Parkway has a good number of female employees in different departments ranging from Business to software development to product success and in different levels, be it managerial, mid-level or entry-level. This wasn’t so some years back; it is safe to say that we are witnessing a significant change in the gender imbalance, and we are proud that we are actively part of the movement to break the bias.
To commemorate the day, Parkway made sure to make the women of the Park feel really special and appreciated with a curated thoughtful gift. Every female employee got a personalized card, worded, and signed by the CEO himself, Emeka Onwuka aka Bugzy, a very moist muffin and a nicely patterned silk scarf (stylish).
